Independence as a musician is the ability to not allow the disability to get in the way of participating in a musical event

As a musician, it allows me to play my guitar, teach guitar, and not have to worry about simple little things that other people might  take for granted.  It's a means to give you the avenue which may not have been given to you before.  To actually be up there with other people and enjoy the actual event of music making.
